Callum at Wedding

Callum Glacken

Callum began his musical journey with the violin at age 8. After listening to his dad play bagpipes he decided it was only right to join in… by playing the snare drum in his dad’s pipe band.
It only took a year before he gave in and began learning pipes from his dad at age 13, quickly progressing up to the competing band within a few months. Since then he’s played with numerous bands such as Lothian and Borders Police in Grade one and in Sydney, Australia with the City of Blacktown pipe band.

He’s had the privilege to play in the Edinburgh Military Tattoo international series in Sydney, performed for McCallum Whisky distillery’s Asian HQ opening in Shanghai, China and countless weddings and events from Edinburgh to Auckland NZ.

Callum has also performed on TV, piping for the First Minister of Scotland whilst in China, and on an episode of the hit TV Show ‘Underbelly”.

A multi-instrumentalist, Callum plays pipes, guitar, piano, Uilleann Pipes, saxophone, violin, mandolin, smallpipes, and many many others!

He has been lucky to have piped across Europe in music festivals, concerts and events and has no signs of slowing down!
Keith absolutely loves piping and if he’s not walking up munro’s, he can regularly be found practicing his pipes rain hail or shine outdoors whenever he gets the chance.

He also consumes Iron-Bru at an alarming rate.

Callum at Duthie's Wedding - B&W

“We absolutely loved that we found Forth Pipers for our Wedding. We got married outside and the sound of the pipes coming through the field as I walked down the aisle really added a special touch to our day.”
